Very pleased to get 100W bulbs so easily from blt and at a good price. Got fed-up with the poor reading light from energy-saving bulbs. These are well named as they don't give out any energy. Good for the environment apparently (is it really proven?) but not for the ability to see clearly.

Good quality hard-to-find product - prompt delivery.

Energy-saving bulbs suck. They use MORE energy in manufacturing, use more globally-scarce elements (especially LEDs), create more problems for safe disposal (due to mercury etc. in CFLs), and their lifetime is ridiculously short unless you can mount them the right way up (i.e. not the usual way in most room lighting fittings) and never turn them off. Most of them are also useless in situations where you only need the light for less than a few minutes (there's a surge in current when you turn them on, so if you just turn them on in the hallway while you go upstairs, you end up using more power than an incandescent bulb, and you can't see where you're going because they take too long to "warm up". And the colour balance (of all the ones I've tried) is horrible, especially if you want to be able to see your pictures-on-the-wall in anything resembling realistic colour.

But enough of the rant - these incandescent bulbs are bright, with a good colour balance, and good manufacturing quality.

I thought these had vanished entirely! These are much more suitable for lighting stairs and landing spaces than energy saving bulbs that take ages to achieve normal brightness. Good price too. I've bought what I think will be a couple of years' supply!
