This is great and I have it on a sensor outside and though I haven't yet tested a winter with it (a real test in the Highlands!) it is working fine.
Pros:
It comes on quickly enough to allow me to see my way to the door!
It will save me loads of money
Cons:
I would prefer a warm white option.
The major problem is that they are either too long or too wide for 3 of my 4 outdoor fittings. The fittings are all normal, but different! Even the bulb that is fitted is so close to the base, that it will be sitting in water when there is condensation in summer.
Make it a fraction shorter and narrower and I will buy 3 more without hesitation. Warm white would be even better!

Delivery service very good. Bulb well packaged. Practically instant full strength light without warm up period. Bulb in regular use so I hope it does not have the short life reported by some other reviewers.

Purchased a couple of these recently, 1 for the better half doing her card making and another for the hobby room. Very pleased with them, nice and bright and colour's true. Service from BLT was quick and well packed.

Since I have been using these bulbs, I noticed for many years electric bills are not as high as I expected. Also brighter everywhere and everyone happy at home.

My hall is still lit by a traditional supermarket energy saving bulb. It's dull yellow light contrasts with the clear "white" light of these daylight bulbs. There is little wait for the bulb to produce its full power whilst the daylight of the bulb is ideal when working. It is true that they are more expensive than supermarket bulbs but they are infinitely superior when in operation and justify their greater cost.

I ordered 40 of these lights bulbs in the last year for the labs I work in. The are very bright, but most of them started dimming or completely shutting off after about 6 months.
They are also quite fragile being bayonet. They broke relatively easily when I was trying to put them into place.

Very good for cloudy days, bright light but not too intense. Especially useful in our small bathroom and kitchen,

I don't like these bulbs. I fitted 14 of them in external house lanterns. The light levels seem no better than the 20W eco bulbs they replaced and the 'blue' end of the spectrum light is not pleasant Will buy cheaper 'non daylight' bulbs in future.

I used 40 of these bulbs over the past 6 months and 1/4 of the stopped working already or broke, so I don't recommend them.

Also, I emailed customer services services for more information about these bulbs and I've been ignored every time, so I'm extremely unsatisfied with that!!

month ago, I bought 4 day light bulbs. one wasn't working since received and the other 3 working fine till now. so I requested to exchange.they didn't give me hard time, they ordered me another one straight away, but it took another 5 days to arrive. so , bearing their lengthy delivery time, I would give 4/5.

Very good product for achieving a bright clear environment for detailed design work. It has considerable reduced eye strain and fatigue caused by the standard warm white compact fluorescent lights. Delivery service from BLT was superb

It's just what I wanted.
Regular bulbs have that horrible yellowish glow which I find to be an eye strain when cooking, reading, or working.

These bulbs make me even feel more awake. More positive.

The bulb emits a brighter, clearer, white light. Fills the room completely almost like daylight. i.e. everything is visible in it's true original colours not with a tint from the light bulb.

Have bought twice now and am very satisfied.

Bought these to light up an area below side galleries in a 130 year old chapel building and they do an excellent job; particularly appreciated by those with failing eyesight.
Would have preferred the softer yellow light but didn't appreciate that 46 watt warm white bulbs were available at that time. Bought two of the 46 watt bulbs later for a trial and found them to be fantastic, but now sadly they have been discontinued just when I was about to order 10 of them for general use in the church building!!

Purchased these for my kitchen to replace previous 25W energy savers. The light output is fantastic, at least 50% more that the 25W bulbs.

These bulbs are ideal for use with outdoor wall lanterns and I have 4 of these up the drive and another 4 up the front steps, the latter being activated by a motion sensor. Delighted with the energy saving and much brighter than the maximum incandescent bulb recommended for the fittings. No problems with the sensor, giving an immediate good light and the 4 bulbs controlled have been in over 6 years without failure.

WHITE AND RELATIVELY "MASSIVE" LIGHT, BUT 3 BULBS IN SEPARATE FITTINGS TURNED DOWN BY THE FAMILY IN THE 16FT X 16FT KITCHEN -THEY DID NOT LIKE THE BRIGHTNESS. WE HAVE USED LOW ENERGY BULBS NOW FOR 12 YEARS AND ARE QUITE USED TO 2700 kELVIN IT IS WARM AND COSY.
**THESE WOULD BE EXCELLENT IN POSITION DEMANDING WHITE LIGHT - COULD NOT FAULT THEM. NOW HAVE TO FIND A USE FOR THEM!!

A great bulb for use in areas where high levels of illumination are required. I am using these bulbs in my father's flat. He is almost totally blind, but the high level of illumination they provide enable him to see a little. They are on throughout the day. One failed after about 3,500 hours, two others are over 4,500 hours and still working. Another one failed after just 3 hours, but BLT replaced that free of charge, which is good customer service.

I wish I'd discovered these before. Perfect for all reading/working areas, and are cheering us all up during the December 2010 Big Freeze. My 20-something daughter has vetoed using them in the bathroom, as she says they don't make for a relaxing atmosphere, otherwise they're almost everywhere.

I have been using these bulbs for some years now and am convinced they help stave off SAD - a few minutes of sunshine first thing in the morning takes the edge off any winter's day! Their colour temperature also means they add a warm glow to colours, brightening up both house and office. The whole range is highly recommended.

Much better brightness than the 25w version, now easy to see and read from my chair in the corner of the room. Almost no delay on start up which is aproblem with some cheaper bulbs. Also delivered very quickly and well packed to prevent damage in transit.

I've tried many different makes of Energy Saving Bulb, and this is by far the best. It reaches full brightness almost instantly, and the clear white light is very bright indeed - much more powerful than any others I've found. Excellent for offices and workshops, it really cheers things up.

The only downside is that I sometimes don't switch it off as I walk out of my office for something, as the light is so natural that I forget I've got a light on!

Please be assured that this product does exactly what it says on the tin.

It gives a very bright light - just like daylight. Best of all, it achieves full brightness INSTANTLY. Other similar lights generally take half a second at least. I'm impressed. Beware of where you locate it though, it can dazzle. In some locations you probably need less powerful light.
