Shatterproof lamps provide users with protection at the time of changing lamps when a mishandling accident can result in thousands of glass particles being spread over a wide area causing potential contamination. They will not degrade and will still contain glass on impact at the end of their life.

High Pressure Sodium Lamps are useful in applications where a large amount of light is needed at a low-cost. Applications are the same as for their Non-Shatterproof Counterparts; Security Lighting, Roadway and Street Lighting, Industrial and Warehouse Lighting, Rail and Bus Stations. They are also a favourite of Indoor Growers and Gardeners as the bulbs emit a Wide Colour Temperature Spectrum which is loved by Plants.
