All the tubes that are around RA factor 98, are far superior in light quality than any other tube. At last after the \'old fashioned\' blue tinged North light, which was 10,000 Deg. Kelvin for colour matching or the De Luxe Natural (used for meat produce sometimes today to make it look artificially enhanced) which have good colour rendering, there is now one tube that outshines them all. The only proviso is that for good lighting, as the colour temperature goes up, so the lumens required also go up to give a good \'atmosphere\'. You cannot do better at this present time for general lighting but for home use with low illumination a more yellow, softer, 2,700K or 3,000K tri-phosphor tube would be a better option. For supermarkets and the like, these SAD lamps are the best by far. Side by side with halo-phosphor lamps these SAD lamps have a rich colour with noticeable red in the spectrum. The look of all artefacts is virtually the same as they would be in bright sunshine.
