Kosnic LED MR16 6 Watt Warm White (40 Watt Alternative) from Kosnic

Model: KPRO06PWR/G5.3-S30

The Warm White 6 Watt LED MR16 lamp is an ultra-efficient alternative to a standard halogen MR16 bulb. Offering a 50,000 hour lamp life 3 LEDs, emitting the same high powered light as a 50W halogen, are protected by a diffused cover.

Please note LED MR16 lamps require drivers of the appropriate voltage to operate, and have limited compatibility with existing halogen transformers.

These LED lamps can be used with halogen transformers with a minimum load of 20W or less. Multiple lamps may be required to work with a halogen transformer with a minimum load of 35W or higher.

3 / stars

This product was purchased as a direct replacement for standard halogen MR16 bulbs. When used in this respect the LED bulbs emit a radio frequency that interferes with DAB radio to stop it working. If you Google this issue it is a common problem with some LED bulbs. The solution may be solved by switching halogen transformers with LED transformers, but unsure if this would work. I bought another brand, Philips worked fine in my case. Light emitted from these bulbs did seem fine.

3 / stars

I was hoping these bulbs would be the answer to easily replacing halogens. However, these bulbs give a very different light to a halogen equivalent. I used them to replace 35W bulbs. They seemed to generate slightly less light than a 35W Halogen, but most importantly, the colour is very different. To me, they are NOT a warm white. They are more like a daylight colour. The light from them is very \'blue\' in comparison. This meant they were not suitable in some of the locations I had hoped to use them. This is a real shame, as I would have bought many more if the colour had been right.
