Upcycled Handmade Vintage Bowls Lamp

Playing of bowls has been recorded since the 13th century. The oldest bowling club was instituted in Scotland in 1740, although not formalised in the late 19th century. The woods were originally made of a hardwood - lignum vitae, a dense wood giving rise to the term "woods" for bowls, but are now more typically made of a hard plastic composite material.

The woods, either two or a trio including the jack, are mounted on an oval base, with the bias symbols clearly displayed. The light is diffused over the curves to show the rich hue of the wood. A perfect gift for the bowls enthusiast.
