The brightness stated on the packet is 230 lumens, not 375 as described on the BLT website. I chose these bulbs on the BLT website because they were supposed to be brighter than alternative 25W bulbs (my bathroom fitting has 25W max), so this is annoying.

We recently purchased replacement lounge wall and ceiling lights, which contained 40W halogen capsules. Whilst the clear 40w halogen capsules are fine for the ceiling lights, they were too powerful for us as wall lights. Also, as our wall lights are relatively low, looking into the bulbs meant you got temporarily blinded! By reducing the wattage to 25W, and having frosted rather than clear bulbs; life is now a lot better. If I had been given a choice of bulbs at the time of purchase, I would definitely have gone for frosted halogen capsules. They are also dimmable, which has meant that I have not had to change my lighting switches. I now also have a batch of spare 40w halogen capsules for the ceiling lights.

BLT have all the Bulbs, for ANY Needs. This is the company to 'Go To' for your illuminating needs. Odd Bulbs don't seem to be a problem.
