If it were not for the well intentioned lunacy of the EU in banning inefficient light bulbs we might never have got lamps like this! Lovely crisp light at full power and the wonderful warmth that (so far) only incandescant lamps can produce when dimmed plus the benefit of 30% energy saving. If you want dimming, but dislike the colour of Fluorescent or LED \'substitutes\' mains voltage lighting doesn\'t get better than this ... yet.
