I bought this to try and find a more economical replacement for a 150w rough service incandescent bulb I was using to light a dark corner of the sitting room. The 30w spiral Prolite seems to give slightly less light than the incandescent, but is just about good enough. The colour temperature of the light is good for a compact fluorescent, many of which promise a warmer white than they actually provide. As to durability - time will tell.

The light quality is close to ye olde incandescant bulbs, there is a moment before the light comes on full but it\'s nothing compared with the older style. Can reccommend them.
