Fits directly with no problem. Its ideal for our dimmable reading light.

Cost much more than halogen but last may more times longer and are cheaper to run. LEDs are supposed to last 30,000 hours. I restocked because one only lasted a year so nowhere near that time but as the halogen were only lasting 3 months the LEDs are better value.
