I first bought a number of these 11W Megaman lamps 7/8 years ago, some of which are still working. I replaced a couple of them with a slightly cheaper version (15W Prolite brand, also from BLT Direct) in Jan 2012, and both these replacements have now failed. Megaman seem to have improved the light output and warm-up time over the years - my most recent purchase seems almost as bright as the old incandescent 60W bulbs and warms up much more quickly than the earlier generation. I shall definitely stick with Megaman from now on.

The bulbs appear to have a very long warm up time before they give their full light output. In my last review I was very disappointed that the light output from 3 Megaman 11 watt lamps was still much lower than the two old style 60 watt reflectors they replaced. Today, day three of using them, after approx 6 hours of previous use, they came on and after the usual short warm up, gave out more light! I would say they are now equivalent of the two old style 60 watt bulbs. So I am giving a five star review to compensate for the 2 stars I gave them last time - average 3.5 stars. I still think the light given out should be a bit more directional as it is on the old 60watt reflectors they replaced, so they do not get the full five stars from me.

It is claimed that these Megaman 11W spots are the equivalent of the old style 60W bulbs. I have come to expect some reduction is light output from such claims, but this level of reduction of light output is too much. Three Megaman 11W spots replaced two old style 60W in our kitchen, but the light output from the 3 Megaman lights is still less - too low to cook with.

Bought in 2007, and still burning reliably. Get heavy use. Take a while to warm up, but give plenty of good quality light. I have yet to have a problem with Megaman branded products. Will buy again.

Excellent retrofit for standard reflector bulb, but take 30-60 secs to warm up. Once they are warm, the light is as good as a standard 60W reflector bulb.
