Affordable, neat and compact, yet very robust Philips Matchbox Red High Frequency ballast to be used in combination with 18 Watt fluorescent lamps. This ballast can have a single TL-D, TL5, PL-C, or PL-S luminaire connected to it ensuring flicker free, programmed start, and over 60,000 on/off switches from each lamp. This functional little ballast is suitable for use in mainly retail, office and residential applications as well as movement-detection control systems and emergency and security fixtures.
