Save Money on Energy Bills By Switching To LED Candle Lamps in Chandeliers

BLT Direct are making it easier for homeowners to showcase their interiors with a stunning showpiece chandelier, by encouraging them to switch to LED light bulbs instead of conventional halogen alternatives. The technologically advanced, energy-saving bulbs are the perfect choice to bring down costs of chandeliers, which are usually expensive methods of overhead illumination in hallways, dining rooms and other living spaces.

Many chandeliers contain ten or more bulbs, and when they\re all at full illumination, that\s a lot of energy being consumed. Halogen candle bulbs are traditionally the one used in many of these lighting fixtures, but they are highly inefficient when it comes to the amount of energy they use up. The most efficient halogen candle lamps available from BLT Direct are 18-watt bulbs, which means that a ten-bulb chandelier would be using enough electricity to power 180-watts worth of light, all at once. They may look beautiful and elegant, but running chandeliers with halogen bulbs can send energy bills through the roof.

BLT Direct are recommending that everyone switches to an LED lighting solution for their chandelier. LED candle lamps start from just 4-watts, which means the entire chandelier would be powered by just 40-watts. The energy savings are also staggering; over the lifespan of the bulbs, one single LED is expected to save around £63.00 on conventional electricity bills; this is a saving of £630.00 per chandelier!

The extended lifespan of the LEDs means that the savings are prolonged and consistent, but this also has an added benefit. Chandeliers are often tricky to fit and maintain, but the long lifespan of the LED candle lamps means that there will rarely be an occasion where a bulb fails and needs to be replaced.

Steven Ellwood, Managing Director of BLT Direct, says, “Chandeliers are wonderful, stylish ways to illuminate an area, and are often used throughout the home, as well as in retail outlets and places like restaurants, hotels and bars. If everyone in the country that used a chandelier ensured that they used LED bulbs in them, they would save incredible amounts on their energy bills and would also be doing their bit for the environment by reducing the carbon footprint of their home or business.”

LED candle lamps are available from BLT Direct from just £5.90 in a range of wattages and bases, to ensure they\re suitable for all types of chandeliers. Crafted and shaped to resemble the more traditional lamps, they give the exact same aesthetic as their predecessors, without the massive energy consumption and high costs.
