What is the brightest T8 5ft LED tube light available?

When you are considering which T8 5ft LED light will be the brightest you should consider the lumen output and the colour temperature of the light.  Lumens are a measurement of how bright a light is and the colour temperature refers to the colour and the shade of the light. The higher the amount of lumens, the brighter the light will be. 

A standard 5-foot fluorescent T8 tube usually rated at 58W will typically produce around 4,000 to 5,000 lumens meaning that this is the amount of lumens you would be looking to match this as closely as possible when purchasing a LED tube. LED tubes will have a much lower wattage of half or less but will still produce the same amount of light.  Many standard T8 5FT LED tubes will produce close between 2500-3700 lumens.  However, there are some specialist models that will go beyond this to closer match 5000 lumens.

Colour temperature will also have a part to play in how bright a LED tube light appears.  The most common colour temperatures available for these will be Warm White (3000K), Cool White (4000K) and Daylight (6000K).  Daylight is a colour temperature that has been designed to emulate the midday sun as closely as possible.  Because of this we would recommend choosing a Daylight tube if you need a light that appears as bright as possible.

To confirm, in order to choose the brightest LED T8 5ft tube possible you should look for a tube that has as many lumens as possible and one that is a Daylight colour.  The figures you will be looking for is 6000-6500K for the colour temperature anything 2500 lumens or above.  It is possible to purchase one that is closer to 5000 lumens but this will likely be a specialist item.
